Today I heard "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake on Pandora (excellent Pat Benatar station!), and that song never fails to remind me of one of my finer lyric snafus. The chorus goes:
"Like a drifter I was born to walk alone..."and one day while driving with Nick and belting it out, I sang:
"Like a twister I was born to walk alone..." This was probably, oh, 3 or 4 years ago — and he still teases me about it every time we hear that song!
Haha believe it or not, I used to have a book called "'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy: And Other Misheard Lyrics" (http://www.amazon.com/Scuse-While-Kiss-This-Guy/dp/0671501283/)
ReplyDeleteAnd to answer your question, I used to sing "Sweet dreams are made of cheese..." when I was a little kid. :-)
Haha YES! That's the book I had, too! (I botched the name in my post.... er, rather, didn't botch it ENOUGH.)
ReplyDeleteAren't sweet dreams made of cheese, though? I see no problem with that! :-)
