jewelry stands

I am in a constant battle with my jewelry. I don't have a ton of jewelry, but I can never seem to find the best way to store what I do have and it always ends up being a cluttered mess. I bought myself a cheap-o jewelry box at Target a few years ago, but it is no longer doing the trick and I am on the hunt for a better (and prettier) storage solution. I am loving these jewelry stands that save space by taking advantage of height.

I don't love the price tag of that last one, but now that I think about it, it's something I could definitely replicate myself with a little creativity and some fun vintage dishes. Let me add that to my list of 472 DIY projects I plan to tacke soon! ;-)

  1. I know that it is totally not pretty (though mine is in my cloest so it's not out anyway), but the best storage solution I have found is a craft organizer type box... it has lots of little pull-out drawers and each drawer is divided into two depth-wise, so I can put something different in each compartment. A few pairs of earrings in one, a necklace in another, a matching necklace/earring set in the front and back pair of one little mini-drawer. It's certainly not luxurious or feminine, but it's kept my jewelery super organized so I can grab and go in the mornings!

  2. OK, maybe I'm about to say something totally ridic, BUT I bought myself a combo jewelry/lingerie armoire thingy, and it works great. Of course, I also have 30 years worth of real and costume jewelry because I don't believe in spring cleaning. :) I think I just like to shut a door on my stuff. Someday, when I'm rich, I'll be one of those people that buys an armoire with doors just to hide away my TV.

  4. I have a hanging one from the container store with 80 pockets or so. It isn't decorative, but very functional.

  5. Oh I love the PB one you have posted - it owuld be so easy to see all of your stuff out in the open instead of hidden in a box.

  6. Those jewellery stands are gorgeous! And could also double as cake stands should you throw an impromptu afternoon tea!

I have about a zillion long necklaces (which are tangle-central if they're not stored relatively well), I keep them on a tie/belt rack that hangs over the top of our bedroom door. It was really cheap and works well, I can also hang dangley earrings on it along the top which is a plus. I keep stud earrings and rings in a pretty little jar on my dressing table. Finding a storage solution that works for you is the battle - because after that, it's a breeze to find the perfect accessory for whatever outfit you have on, saves a lot of time too!

  7. I bought a set of acrylic organizers from the Container Store and they do the trick and still look pretty nice (in a minimalist sort of way). I use the acrylic trays with adjustable dividers to store all my makeup in my dresser and I have a great folding screen for earrings (this can be displayed on top of the dresser standing up or folded and tucked away inside a drawer) and a clear necklace stand for headbands and necklaces.

  8. Oooooh I love these! I like the middle one with sections, I need that extra help organizing. I've been scouring Etsy for a jewelry tree too, never thought of the plate idea. Love it!

  10. Oooohhh.. i have exactly the same problem with you and i thank you for this post! The 4 tier stand from etsy looks soo awesome but a tad pricey for me. I like that PBteen one because it has the tray for things that we can't hang.
