Why did it take me three years to see this movie? What kind of musical-lover am I to let this one go unseen for so long?? And why didn't anyone warn me that it would make me sob? (If you haven't seen it yet, it's not "sad," per se... just touching.)
Once. See it.

I KNOW! I just watched it for the first time recently. AWESOME. Totally. Big thanks to my friend for recommending it and loaning me the DVD. Great story, sweet characters, and beautiful music :)
ReplyDeleteWant to hear something terrible? We got that movie on Netflix and just never got around to watching it. After about two months, we just sent it back!! We suck. I hope it's a "Watch Instantly" movie because then I can watch it on my brand new iPad tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that movie. Get the Swell Season CD. You won't regret it.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to start watching movies with an R rating (as I currently don't do now) this would be the very first one I would watch. I own several of their songs, including the soundtrack, and when I listen to all of them in a row TH always asks why I'm so sad and melancholy. :)
ReplyDeleteJenna, you should make an exception for this movie :) The only reason it has an R-rating is because of a few uses of the F-word (but they're Irish, so I think it sounds way less offensive with an accent, teehee).
ReplyDeleteHC, I will definitely be downloading some Swell Season music. Their voices mesh so beautifully together.
Love the movie, adore the soundtrack! I'm glad you finally watched it - so worth it.
ReplyDeleteyou're welcome.
