colorful and new

I treated myself to a pretty new wallet in NY this weekend. I have been so good about not spending unnecessarily since Nick's layoff, but I've also been earning a little extra $$ doing some freelance projects for friends, and I felt like I earned myself a little sumpthin' sumpthin'. It certainly wasn't outrageous — $58 — but that's actually the most I've ever spent on a wallet!

It's a pretty little number from Fossil, one of my favorite brands. (I just discovered this weekend that Fossil is a byproduct of Coach. Did anyone else know that?) I always find some great clothing staples at Fossil (they have a great store at the King of Prussia mall), and drool aplenty over their accessories. I love the combination of patterns on this wallet. It makes me happy.

If ever I have a spare $385 lying around, I'd also like to buy this, please:

  3. Supercute! I actually need a new wallet too. Boy always makes fun of mine and calls it the "George Costanza Wallet" because I'm notorious for keeping receipts.

  5. Hey, just thought I'd check out your regular blog. I'm going to add this to my blogroll if you don't mind ... I really need to get into the habit of updating mine more often and checking out other people's blogs more regularly. I always find myself getting too busy, but this seems like a great way to keep up with trends, commiserate, relate, etc. (The stuff I write on my blog is usually meant to be quirky/funny, by the way ... not like my most recent post).

Just wanted to add, though, that I LOVE Fossil! There's this blue bag they have now called the Blackburn Tote that I really wish I could get because I think blue bags are going to be the big thing this spring. Also, clothing swaps are a great idea ... and I don't know about you, but I always loved the fact that Carrie had an actual desk lamp in her closet.

Do you remember what her bed looked like? It's a Calvin Klein comforter set that I've termed my "dream bed" for years ... I imagine I'll finally get it when I get married someday ...
