two pies

This past weekend was filled with lots of fun times catching up with friends. It's so much easier to venture out when the weather is nice — 75 and sunny ain't too shabby. Thank goodness spring is here.

On both Saturday and Sunday night, we went to friends' houses for dinner. We volunteered to bring dessert on both occasions, and Nick decided to make some apple pies. He even got creative with the extra dough left over from the crust...

A little shout out to his beloved Detroit Red Wings (he has never lived in or near Detroit, but he loves the Wings...???) and a tribute to our own World Champion Philadelphia Phillies. Isn't he clever?
